Know Your Values

Know Your Values

Think back to why you got into your business in the first place. Was it because ever since you were a kid you felt a connection to the thing you do now? You loved baking, or tinkering with cars, experimenting with different outfits, taking care of people, making numbers work, keeping things tidy, being around animals ~ there are a million directions our hearts and ambitions get pulled, but for a lot of us, there’s that one thing we just can’t let go of. And if you are here, it’s probably because you worked hard at making your passion into your business! But now, you need to share your business with the world, and need a little help lining that all up in a consistent way that’s true to you.

So here is a little exercise, just to get you on the right track.

List your business values!

Below are some ideas to get the juices flowing. Come up with 5 – 10 that really hold true to you. Write them down. Write them BIG. Put them where you can see them for a daily reminder, for yourself and for those who work with you. These are what you should refer to again and again with all of your marketing, AND in your interactions with customers/clients.

Hold true to your values!

Keep Track of Your Dates

Keep Track of Your Dates

Who knows you better than you? Who knows your business better? That question might be up for debate. But we are here with a suggestion… Why don’t you work with the other smarty pants in your life, and record every aspect of your business you can think of in one glorious timeline? This will serve multiple purposes, the two most important of which might just be:

1: Be organized to find answers to questions as they arise, all while getting to know your details better…

AND

2: Have anniversaries and occasions to celebrate both IRL and on social media!

Be able to use anniversaries of new hires, past awards and promotional events to promote your business, while allowing customers to know you better.
